Responsibilities
- As a data engineer you will be responsible for data extraction, data wrangling, solution design, architecture etc. You will be actively involved in numereous projects coming from different internal departments like, HR, retail, mortgages, marketing, trading etc.
- During a period of approximitely 3-9 months you will be working within different projectteams. During this period your goal is to prove the importance of using analytics to gain more knowledge regarding the specific needs of the departments.
- Working closely with these business units, getting insight in their needs and based on the data from these internal departments your projectteam needs to show what analytics can do for this specific part of the business. Coming up with ideas, developing solutions and presenting your insights to the business.
Essentials
- You speak and write English fluently
- You have at least 3+ years experience as a data engineer
- You have been working with, Unix, SQL, Python and/or R
- You have been working with some of the Hadoop ecosystem components (Spark, Hive etc)
- You are a die-hard engineer, starring at your screen and coding is what you love to do most!.
- You are ambitious and not affraid in learning new things
- You have an analytical way of thinking
- You are creative and communicative
